Use Us as a Film Set
About,Use us as a film set by Darcy Rhyn

What do Richard Donat, Nancy Palk, Gabriel Byrne, Joanne Whalley, Robert Duvall, Demi Moore, Gary Oldman, Paul Gross, Rebecca Jenkins, Sandra Oh, Elliot Page, Maury Chaykin, Donald Sutherland, William Hurt, Ethan Hawke, Gillian Anderson, Louis Gossett Jr., Cuba Gooding Jr. and Aunjanue Ellis all have in common?  They have all starred in films shot in Shelburne!

The historic waterfront serves as a great set for period films – electrical cables are buried, the heritage streetscapes are authentic, and the development across the water is minimal.   The Town itself serves as a great contemporary small-town setting.

Residents, businesses and the Museums all have experience in hosting shoots, with many locals skilled as extras, at making props and building sets. Contact us to explore how Shelburne can host your film.

The Shelburne Historical Society is located on Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq,  in the District of Kespukwitk, home to Acadia First Nation.

We are all Treaty people.
We also honour and acknowledge the 400 year history, contribution and legacy of African Nova Scotian people and communities.
